In 2017, the beloved animated series Voltron returned in the form of a new series titled Voltron 84, featuring the same iconic characters and concept as the original 1984 series. The show follows a team of five young pilots who are chosen to pilot robotic lions that combine to form the ultimate weapon, the mighty Voltron.

The show features an all-star voice cast, including Josh Keaton (Transformers Prime, The Spectacular Spider-Man) as Shiro, Kimberly Brooks (Steven Universe, Ben 10) as Allura, and Joaquim Dos Santos (Avatar: The Last Airbender, Justice League Unlimited) as executive producer.

Fans of the original series will appreciate the nods to the classic show throughout the new series, such as the Voltron Force
