While much of the country sheltered in place, these incredible men and women risked their lives for us. In the process, they changed our perception of what a first responder could be. We've met some incredible heroes and now, we'll see how their lives have changed since we saw them last.

7. The Inventor, The Nurse Practitioner and The Art Supplier

J.J. Watt pays tribute to three regular heroes. Brad Halsey is the founder of Building Momentum, an innovative company in Alexandria, VA that creates prototypes to solve problems. Now as the world faces a huge pandemic, Brad is sinking all of his time and money into his latest invention: a UVC robot that helps battle Covid by way of disinfecting surfaces. But between spending countless hours working and his struggle with PTSD from the war in Iraq, Brad risks his own mental health all in hopes of protecting the health of others. 10 year old Chelsea Phaire is on a mission to bring art into every child's life. As founder of Chelsea's Charity, she donates art kits to underprivileged kids in an effort to give them a creative outlet to express themselves. Since schools closed across the country, Chelsea is now working harder than ever to provide for children in quarantine so that they can have a means of escape during these stressful times. Pamela Douglass is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner offering free healthcare to the homeless youth of Las Vegas, NV. With more and more people now on the streets due to casinos shutting down, Pamela is seeing a huge increase in the amount of patients needing her help. As a result, she is going above and beyond her typical health care duties by scrambling to procure essential items such as food and clothing, all the while dealing with her postponed wedding.

6. The Farmer, the Mechanic, and the Bus Driver

Brad Paisley highlights three regular heroes. Daniel Hayden takes great pride in running his family's chicken and cattle farm in Kentucky. Nowadays, he is giving it his all to keep feeding the country during this time of need. But with the pandemic threatening to shut down nearby factories and limited PPE available, Daniel worries about the future of his farm. Francisco Gomez is an Emergency Vehicle Technician who travels all across the state of Texas, providing on site repairs and maintenance to fire trucks and ambulances. With the volume of 911 calls now at an all-time high, Francisco is working harder than ever to keep these vehicles on the road so they can continue to save lives. Driving hours upon hours from site to site, Francisco continues to work tirelessly all in hopes of providing a bright future for his four daughters. Tiffany Underwood is a Coach Operator for Community Transit in Seattle, WA. Despite losing a co-worker to the coronavirus and the fear of contracting it herself, Tiffany still drives her bus route every day to ensure that first responders can get to work. For many essential workers, the first stop is the bus stop. But with a daughter at home and a mother in a nursing home who depend on her, Tiffany struggles to make time for both work and family.

5. The Doctor, The Animal Rescue Worker, and the Theater Owner

Chris Paul shines a light on three regular heroes for their brave and selfless actions. Dr. Nana Afoh-Manin is an Emergency Room Physician at Kaiser Hospital who has now put herself on the frontlines to battle the coronavirus. As founder of MyCovidMD, Dr. Nana runs Covid testing pop up sites to provide healthcare for those who are underinsured and underserved. Inspired by her mother who lost her battle to cancer, Nana fights against inequalities in the healthcare system everyday, despite wishing she could also make more time for her loved ones. Jessica Vacarro has been running the Animal Rescue New Orleans Shelter for the past four years. Now, she is working harder than ever to save animals in need as the number of abandoned and neglected pets rises due to the pandemic. But with an old injury flaring up and a lack of finances to pay her rent, Jessica struggles to keep putting the animals before her own well being. Movie enthusiast Andrew Thomas is the proud owner of the Showboat Drive-In Theater in Houston, Texas. But with no new film releases planned during this time of Covid, he has decided to give back to his community by hosting high school graduations at his drive-in. For the graduating class of 2020 who thought they would never get to celebrate the milestone, Andrew works hard to provide a safe social distancing venue for students to receive their diploma, even if it means spending more time at work and less time with his family.

As founder of I the Girls, Dana ensures that all women around America get the feminine hygiene products that they need. Now with a surge in demand and shortage of supply due to the pandemic, Dana is working harder than ever to get women these essential products, even if it means taking time away from her family. Angel Santiago has been a sanitation worker for the last 25 years. He never knows what he is handling when he picks up the garbage, but these days, that puts him at higher risk of catching coronavirus. Nonetheless, he continues to serve his community everyday, despite worrying about bringing Covid-19 back home to his 91 year old father. As CEO and founder of RV for Camp Fire, Woody Faircloth's mission is to help those in need. When wildfires ravaged California two years ago, he came to the rescue by providing RV's to families who lost their homes. Now, Woody along with his 7 year old daughter have started donating RV's to healthcare professionals in order to give them a safe place to quarantine away from their loved ones.

Nick Jonas thanks three regular heroes for their selfless deeds by paying it forward. EMT Diana Wilson has experienced a lot on the job with the FDNY over her 17 year career, but she has never experienced anything quite like this. With the volume of calls at an all-time high due to the pandemic, Diana is constantly providing medical assistance to those in need and exposing herself to the virus every day. As a result, she sacrifices not seeing her children in over a month to ensure their health and safety. Reverend Andy Bales runs the Union Rescue Mission in LA, one of the largest homeless shelter missions in the US. As the virus keeps spreading, Reverend Andy scrambles to respond to the growing number of people who need his help. Despite having heart disease, kidney disease, and type 1 diabetes, he remains on the frontlines, serving the brothers and sisters of his community, even if it means putting his own health at risk. Truck Operator Serita Lockley is working harder than ever now in order to deliver essential items to retirement homes and stores. After taking out loans and deferring payments so that she can keep her employees on payroll, Serita keeps on trucking. But with her father's health declining, Serita can't help but be concerned about their well-being.

Senior Inventory Specialist Trevor Henry assists the doctors and nurses at the #1 US hospital for orthopedics as it converts its facility to help combat COVID-19. Burnell Cotlon helped rebuild the lower 9th ward community after Hurricane Katrina, and now he serves his neighborhood again by keeping his grocery store open since it's the only one within a 5 mile radius. After overcoming being homeless herself, Athena Hayley puts her health at risk everyday by continuing to feed the Skid Row homeless community. Three different people in three different cities, all with one shared goal: one another.
