Watch House of Joy

"House of Joy" documents the home life of talented R&B producer Rodney Jerkins, known in the entertainment industry by the name Darkchild, and his wife, the performer Joy Enriquez. Jerkins and Enriquez, once collaborators on Enriquez's music, are now married and have three children. The couple have their work cut out for them as they raise a family and try to record an album that will revive Enriquez's career, a feat that has previously failed. (A previous album for her produced by Jerkins was not financially successful.)

Jerkins, who has crafted tracks for superstars such as Kylie Minogue and Lady Gaga, shows himself to be an able and loving father, although a comic lens of the show comes into play as Jerkins juggles his industry responsibilities with the needs of three growing children. The happiness of a family's early days, however, are the true story of this aptly named program, and its everyday tale of familial ups-and-downs will resonate with anyone who has raised children or tried to build a career from the ground up.
