Food Wars: Asia is a culinary competition show featuring some of the most talented chefs from across Asia. This show is a spin-off from the popular Japanese manga series, Shokugeki no Soma, which has been adapted into an anime and a live-action TV drama. The show takes place in a variety of locations throughout Asia, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand. Once the contestants are introduced, they are given a specific ingredient or theme for the day's competition. This could be anything from creating a dish inspired by a specific country or culture, to incorporating a unique ingredient into their dish, or recreating a signature dish from a famous restaurant.

The contestants then have a set amount of time to prepare their dish, all while being followed by the cameras and commentated on by the show's hosts, Vanessa Meng and Michele Lean.
