Watch Virunga: Gorillas in Peril

The documentary Virunga showed that the last of the world's mountain gorillas and the park rangers who protect them are in grave danger. Virunga: Gorillas in Peril is a behind the scenes featurette on the making of that documentary. It alternates between film clips and multiple interviews including Director/Producer Orlando Von Einsiedel and Emmanuel De Merode: Virunga National Park Director. Making the case for the film itself, they describe its original inspiration and attempt to give insight into the danger involved, even for those documenting this increasingly horrifying struggle between the forces of nature, hope, conservation, greed and survival.
