Phil Silvers stars in this send-up of old-fashioned westerns. He plays the Silver Dollar Kid, a fainthearted man who is selected to be sheriff of a small western town beset by villains. To even the stakes, the town’s marauders hire their own gunslinger, who also happens to be chickenhearted. Jack Benny costars as the gunslinger.
