Watch The Great War - 1916

Set during World War I, The Great War is a film about how soldiers from opposing sides realize a moment of humanity when they each other for celebrations and dancing on Christmas Eve. Despite being enemies the soldiers display that the conflict is inherently more a national one than it is personal. This is also based on a true story. The first s of this event were relayed by the famous novel 'All Quiet on the Western Front', which portrayed this connection between soldiers in vivid detail.
