Watch Rose Kennedy: A Life to

This documentary film, which received an Academy Award nomination in the best short documentary category, examines the life well lived by Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy. She was the matriarch of the Boston-based Kennedy clan, spouse of Ambassador Joseph Kennedy and mother to President John F. Kennedy and senators Robert and Edward Kennedy. Rose experienced the full gamut of life's joys and sorrows, including the murder of two of her sons. Also explored is the work she accomplished to promote better understanding of the mentally retardation which afflicted one of her daughters.
