Colin, a deaf-mute, and Frederique, a dedicated con artist, accidentally stumble on an underground secret society referred to only as "The 13". Colin and Frederique soon find themselves immersed in the heart of a strange conspiracy involving two local theater groups. After a performance of a Classical Greek drama reveals a vital clue, the two follow a trail back to a mysterious shop on Les Halles "L'Angle du Hasard". When a cache of letters are stolen and the author held for a sizeable ransom, the long dormant group "The 13" becomes re-activated, revealing secrets long thought hidden.
