While he is living the high life he crosses the wrong people. Oscar Wilde is a man that is forced to hide his homosexuality due to the strict Victorian morals of the day. The film primarily focuses on the charges brought against Wilde by an aristocrat that happens to be the father of one of his lovers. The movie also deals with the aftermath of the trial and the last few years of this literary greats life.
