Watch More Than Meets the Eye: The Joan Brock Story

This is a dramatic movie about a woman who must pick up the pieces of her life. Within a matter of weeks, she loses all of her vision. As she recovers and adjusts, her husband finds out he has cancer. Joan is a wife and mother, and she is also a teacher at a blind school. One day she begins having vision problems. She is diagnosed with macular degeneration, an incurable eye disease that usually strikes the elderly. Rather than having years to adjust, she is blind within weeks.

She struggles to adjust to a life of blindness. She succeeds in returning to her job, where her blind students understand her struggles. As she recovers, she learns her husband has cancer.
