The movie begins with a diner scene where Rajnikanth, playing the character of Tiger, is seen having a meal with his friends Gonsalves (Amitabh Bachchan) and Shekhar (Govinda). The trio reminisce about their childhood together and how they were separated due to unforeseen situations. They all lead separate lives now with Tiger being a smuggler, Shekhar being a police officer, and Gonsalves being a lawyer. However, destiny brings them together, and they vow to stand with each other through thick and thin.
The story then shifts to another character, Bakhtawar (Danny Denzongpa), who is one of the most influential men in the city. He is a corrupt businessman who has his hands in every illegal activity in the city. He has a team of lethal henchmen whom he uses to threaten and eliminate his opponents. Bakhtawar's main rival is an honest police officer, Ashraf Ali (Anupam Kher), who is determined to capture him and bring him to justice.
Bakhtawar has a daughter, Julie (Kimi Katkar), who is a victim of his authoritarian attitude. Julie falls in love with Shekhar, who is initially hesitant to accept her proposal because of his allegiance to the law. But eventually, he reciprocates her feelings, and their romance blossoms.
The trio of Tiger, Shekhar, and Gonsalves become a headache for Bakhtawar, who is now more determined than ever to get rid of them. He uses his henchmen to attack them multiple times, but the trio manages to foil every attempt. Bakhtawar then reveals his true intentions to Julie and asks her to turn against Shekhar and his friends. But Julie, who is fed up with her father's reign of terror, reveals everything to Shekhar, and together they hatch a plan to defeat Bakhtawar once and for all.
The climax of the movie is an action-packed sequence where the trio, along with other allies, go head to head with Bakhtawar and his army of goons. The scene is filled with high-octane action, suspense, and surprising revelations.
Hum is a movie that is a perfect blend of action, drama, and emotions. The film features some stellar performances from the main cast, particularly Amitabh Bachchan, Rajnikanth, and Govinda, who steal the show with their impeccable acting skills. The movie's cinematography is top-notch, and the action scenes are well choreographed.
The film's soundtrack, composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal and written by Anand Bakshi, is an absolute treat for music lovers. The songs are still popular among the masses and have stood the test of time.
Overall, Hum is a movie that is a must-watch for anyone who loves action movies, but also for those who enjoy watching movies that explore the themes of friendship, loyalty, and integrity.
