Watch Gentlemen in White Vests

This is a wacky German comedy about 1970 Berlin, 25 years after the near apocalyptic end of Nazi . It performs as a lighthearted explanation of West 's meteoric recovery, often called Wirtschaftswunder, or economic miracle, in the 1950s and 1960s. Germans are polite, conforming, and sincere as they greet Allied troops marching into West Berlin. Huge cheering crowds lavished praise and on the boy soldiers of the West. The film reveals that old German codgers have orchestrated all this compliance. The film hints, then, at what those very same men were up to 30 years before.
