Cold Storage is a 2009 horror-thriller film that follows a group of workers at a medical storage facility who come across a deadly virus that turns people into zombies. The film stars Nick Searcy as Roger Summers, the facility's manager who has been working there for over 20 years. Matt Keeslar plays David, an ex-convict who takes a job at the facility to get his life back on track. Joelle Carter plays Emma, David's love interest and a fellow worker at the facility.

At the beginning of the film, we see that the facility has recently been shut down due to a government investigation. However, Roger convinces the owners to let him and his team stay on to clean up and prepare the facility for future use. As they start their job, they come across a strange container that is marked as "unauthorized". Against Roger's orders, David and Emma open the container and find a canister filled with a green liquid.

As they continue to work, strange things start happening around the facility. People begin to disappear, and others start to act strangely. It becomes clear that the green liquid from the canister is some sort of virus that turns people into zombies.

The remaining workers try to find a way to escape the facility, but they are trapped inside by the quarantine protocols. They must fight off the infected and try to find a way to the authorities.

Cold Storage is a tense and suspenseful film that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The acting is strong, with each character having their own backstory and motivations. The special effects are well done, and the makeup for the zombies is particularly impressive.

One of the strengths of the film is how it builds tension and gradually reveals the horror that is happening within the facility. It takes its time to set up the characters and establish the situation before unleashing the chaos. This makes the payoff all the more satisfying when it finally comes.

Another strength is the way it plays with the zombie genre. While there are certainly elements of the traditional zombie movie here, the film also subverts expectations in some ways. For example, there are some scenes where the infected seem to be getting better, only to have them turn violent again later. This unpredictability keeps the audience engaged and guessing what will happen next.

Overall, Cold Storage is a solid entry in the zombie genre that is worth checking out. It offers a fresh take on familiar tropes and delivers some genuinely scary moments. If you're a fan of horror movies or zombie flicks, this one is definitely worth a watch.
