Apart from the thrilling storyline, Bhootayyana Maga Ayyu is known for its beautiful music composed by Rajan-Nagendra. The song "Anuraaga Aralitu" is still popular among Kannada music lovers. The film was also the first Kannada film to be screened at the International Film Festival of India.
