In this drama about life in the inner-city, even if a teenager is smart, without the focus it is likely they will be tempted by gang life. This is true for high school student Angel Rodriguez who is brilliant with computers but who lacks encouragement and is lured by criminal enterprise and neglected by his father. The only ally the teenager has is Nicole. She is a guidance counselor fighting her own demons.
