Watch A Terrible Beauty

This drama is based on an Arthur Roth novel. Each of Dermot O'Neill's family react differently when he is drafted into the Irish Republican Army during World War II. His father is extremely proud while his mother is very upset. His brother and sister express no opinion. His girlfriend Neeve leaves him, insisting that his IRA experience will transform him into a killer. He is successful at several missions, then returns home. When he turns police informant, he is arrested to stand trial. His brother and sister eventually help him escape, with tragic results for the O'Neill family.
